Medical Tourism
Surgery in Puerto Vallarta, Coordinated From Arrival to Departure
Puerto Vallarta combines modern private hospitals, board-certified bilingual surgeons and an international airport with daily flights from across North America. Procedures typically cost substantially less than in the US and Canada, without long wait times, and diagnostic studies and lab work can normally be scheduled within 24 hours.
We prepare a detailed itinerary that can include a tour of the hospital, and we help coordinate post-op care and transportation. We do not book accommodations ourselves, but we work with a trusted local agent who has lived in the area for many years.
Send us the type of surgery you are considering and your preferred dates, and we will get back to you with complete pricing.
Insurance
Insurance and Reimbursement Claims in Mexico
Being financially prepared for a medical emergency is one of the most important parts of taking care of your health here. Neither US Medicare nor Canadian government coverage is accepted in Mexico, and many private plans from home are not accepted at local hospitals.
Visitors are best served by a good traveler’s insurance policy, which is much more widely accepted in the area. Full-time residents need a policy that is widely accepted at all private hospitals. We do not sell insurance, but we work with several reputable agents and can refer you to short-term, long-term or air evacuation coverage.
Claim paperwork in Mexico is often different from what insurers in the United States or Canada expect. We help you prepare and organize your claim, including medical records, translations and receipts, so you can submit it to your insurer for reimbursement.

Please contact me if you need us to arrange a pick up. I am also always in need of magazines and books for patients and waiting rooms. If you would like to help with our speakers programs or clinics, or by visiting someone who is lonely or homebound, please let me know.
